ith a taste and concept of its own, OPM is as unique as its name. OPM is a Food Club with a café, a restaurant and a grill area as well as the entertainment areas. Not only that, OPM has a billiard and projector room as well which can be booked for corporate meetings, musical evenings, casual GTs etc OPM stands for ‘Only Private Members’ as the concept behind it was that Dr Sabahat and Amna Tahir wanted to introduce it as a club for exclusive members.
For the time being OPM is open to all; however it still remains exclusive in its food, ambiance and location. The café is run by Amna Tahir who is also PR and Event Manager for OPM, while Dr Sabahat is in charge of the restaurant. The interior of the entire Food Club has been done by Dr Sabahat who took it up as a challenge to make OPM look chic and classy while working within a budget.
The Dervaish Lounge serves exotic Middle-Eastern and Continental food. As mystic as the name the ‘fine dinette’ area is done in rich colors of red and chocolate brown. Soft music and soft candle lights adds to the romance in the air. The contemporary furniture with Moroccan style cushions, runners and sofas suits the ambiance of the fine dinette. This lounge can seat up to 40 people so it is an entirely exclusive eating area with minimal noise and people.
The grill area serves Moroccan, Thai, Continental and Barbecue. It is a more casual dining area than the Dervaish Lounge. The interior is a reinterpretation of contemporary design.
“The concept of OPM’s café is an exclusive place where you can spend time with friends, relax, maybe play some pool, chess or watch TV with the main advantage of availability of a variety of food and drinks,”
says Dr Sabahat.
The billiard room is for pure entertainment and it can be booked for parties or GTs. Two billiard tables span the long room. There is a cosy sitting area at the end of the room with a large screen TV and comfy sofas. It makes you feel right at home with the advantage that you can order from any three eateries of the café while you play pool or watch a cricket match.
This room can be converted into a board room for corporate meetings or a casual movie night with your friends and family. A large projector screen faces one of the walls and since the room is long it can seat up to 70 people. An exclusive food club is just what Lahore needed to spice up casual hangouts, committee parties, corporate meetings or for a romantic seven course meal. If you want to see it all under one roof Private lounging and entertainment area for guests OPM is the place to be. ■
