Never complain, never explain

We are frustrated, depressed and fast becoming a negative bunch of people (if not already) as a nation. We spend too much time focusing on the negative, complaining about things – on television, on newspapers, in our lives. This is toxic and should be stopped ASAP. By Fareeha Qayoom

Dog days and Lord of the Flies syndrome

Bottom line, absolute power corrupts absolutely and for some weird reason, most people in their puny capacity always but always cross the line if they can help it. Anyone who is in any position of power over others likes to exercise his muscles, even when there is no need. I see so many examples – big cars hog the roads…gate keepers try to teach you your place. Front Desk personnel try to block you to give you just three examples. Bully’s bully, its not personal – the powerful prey on the weak. It’s the survival of the fittest. Ramblings…a working plan for my leisure activities

I was reading about it the other day (Business, the Universe & Everything, Conversations with the world’s greatest management thinkers by Stuart Grainer and Des Dearlove)…the guy who invented mind maps basically had the same problem before he came up with a short hand to organize his thoughts…Tony Buzan’s output trebled and quadrupled after he came up this new system…He’s the “original renaissance man, responsible for over 80 books, a business empire and a legion of other activities.” Everything has been organized to the max, he manages his life and gets to do ton of stuff with his mind maps… By Fareeha Qayoom
