Sugar crisis? What sugar Crisis?

I was a little surprised – I mean, why protest sugar price hike only? Why not everything else too that’s going wrong in our lives because of current government’s policies? When the prices of all essential commodities (including indispensable foodstuffs, everyday staples, energy, power and fuel) are rising without rhyme or reason, without any notice, just like that, why were the folk out on the streets to protest the prices of sugar?
