nila needs no introduction. She is one of the most qualified, technically sound and brilliant people our textile industry has ever produced. She has been and continues to be many things to many people—a designer, (all aspects of design, from textile, apparel and sweater patterns design to graphic design to furniture design, she’s done it all), a teacher (NCA and Pakistan School of Fashion Design), a sweater designer turned product manager (Ammar Textiles, Nabila Enterprises), merchandiser turned brand manager (Levi Strauss & Co). She is also technically qualified to grade technical specifications, make and correct a pattern, and stitch a mean garment, not to mention she understands the knitting structures from one end of machine to the other!

Anila moved to USA this year. Currently she lives and works in Dallas. ■

Fareeha has over 21 years of solid management experience – of managing brands (like Harley Davidson, Munsingwear, Chaps, Chaps Ralph Lauren etc.,), Retailers (like Target, Mervyns, Kohl's, Marks and Spencer etc.,), customers (VPs, Product Managers, Unit Managers, and Buyers), and products (apparel - woven, knits, men's, women's, children's, Print and online publishing units), projects, teams, and processes, information, content, and data, staff, vendors, and time. Versatile and adaptable with international exposure, communication and language skills (oral and written), and a consistent track record of achieving company targets and objectives, plus a MA in Political Science from Punjab University, a MSc in Economics from La Salle University, Louisiana, USA, and a BA in Economics from Kinnaird College for Women.
