he weather is kind of crazy in Lahore right now. Either it’s so hot that you don’t want to do anything except flop down in an air conditioned room

Cavalry Ground June 17, 2011 — around 9:15 AM– You can see rain water stuck in the side-lane in the foreground. Photo by Adnan Q. Qayyum

somewhere and just vegetate or its “thunderstorms and lightening – very, very frightening,” (yes, low pressure builds up because of the heat, attracting thunderstorms with rains or dust storms and high winds depending on the situation) – the other day (Friday, June 17, 2011) we were wading in literally liters of rain water on the road(s) on our way to work for example.

Funnily enough, the problem was most acute where they had repaired the drains or installed new drains on the roads! We were in Cavalry Grounds when Adnan decided to take a photo to commemorate the occasion. He even saw a kid swimming in a side lane full of puddles! Sigh.

DHA, Cavalry Grounds, and Gulberg were literally submerged in rain water. However, the Canal Road was fine…it took me ages to drive through bumper to bumper traffic. It kind of ruined my day…

By the way, is there a co-relation between hot weather and procrastination?  What do you think?
